This vintage Marimekko "Takki" or"Happy coat" or "Kihlatasku" (Engagement pocket) dress is designed by Newly married Vuokko Eskolin - Nurmesniemi;

The sweet story behind it? Vuokko (Nurmesniemi) got engaged to architect Antti Nurmesniemi and she designed a dress where her new fiancé could leave little notes and such to the pockets. I think it's lovely. It's known as "Iloinen takki" ("Happy Coat") or by its original name Kihlatasku.

It is made from 100% cotton, in a tent style with silver button front. A true collectible dress.
